DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION TRAINING

This area of training includes Flagger and Certified Signal Man programs for anyone who is required certification. Courses will introduce students to federal and state policies, procedures, and standards while covering work zone safety principles and the proper signals and safe flagging techniques needed on the jobsite. Trainees will learn how to coordinate traffic movement through the work zone before testing out their new knowledge through various classroom activities. Certified Signal Man training leads to an understanding of crane characteristics and dynamics as well as the signal requirements used to direct them.

4 Hour Flagger

8 Hour Certified Signal Person

Book now The course includes discussions on different types of signals used and practical scenarios to prepare students for a practical and written examination that is administered at the end of the course. This course includes topics such as crane components, proper use of the ANSI hand signals, crane characteristics and dynamics, signal person requirements per OSHA 1926.1419-1926.1422, working near power lines, and voice signals.  $200*
